Synopsis
For a century humanity has cowered behind enormous walls to escape the giant "Titans" that devour them. After his mother is eaten, Eren Yeager joins the Survey Corps with childhood friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert, sworn to take revenge on the Titans and uncover the truth beyond the walls. Hajime Isayama's manga has sold over 100 million copies worldwide; the anime (2013–2023) transcends dark fantasy to tell a sweeping story of freedom, prejudice, and the cycles of war.

Oyama Dam (Bronze statues of Eren, Mikasa, and Armin as children)
📍 Hita, Oita
The 94-meter-high dam wall is designed to resemble "Wall Maria," and life-size bronze statues of Eren, Mikasa, and Armin as boys have been installed. The scene where they first encounter the Titans in the story has been recreated.

Located within the "Mizube no Sato Oyama" roadside station, it features a gigantic colossal titan sculpture, original drawings and early works by Hajime Isayama, and reproductions of manuscripts.

Located on the grounds of Sapporo Beer's Kyushu Hita Factory, the main attraction is a massive digital exhibit called "Immersive Comic."
JR Hita Station South Plaza (Statue of Captain Levi)
📍 Hita, Oita
A life-size bronze statue of Captain Levi has been erected in the Free Square at the south exit of Hita Station. Many fans visit the area as a gateway to the anime's sacred sites.
Attack on Hita Cafe

The restaurant features character plush toy seating, AR photo spots, and a wide variety of Attack on Titan collaboration menu items. It's about a 3-minute walk from Hita Station.
Yakisoba no Soufuren Oyama Store
📍 Hita, Oita
This is a famous Hita yakisoba restaurant where Hajime Isayama worked part-time during his high school days. An autographed illustration by the author is displayed inside the restaurant.
Okuhita Onsen Umehibiki
📍 Hita, Oita
They are selling a collaboration plum wine with Attack on Titan called "Survey Corps Canteen." The plum wine is made using plums from Isayama-sensei's family, who are plum farmers.
Oita Prefectural Hita Forestry and Technical High School
📍 Hita, Oita
This is the high school that Hajime Isayama attended. It's the place where he spent his youth developing the concept for Attack on Titan. Only the exterior can be viewed.
Mameda-machi Shopping Street
📍 Hita, Oita
A castle town with white walls, known as "Kyushu's Little Kyoto." It was Hajime Isayama's route to school during his high school days. It is a designated Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings.
Sakura Falls

It's about a 10-minute walk from JR Amagase Station. This location has been designated as an Attack on Titan AR spot, where you can enjoy an experience where Eren, Mikasa, and Armin appear.
Gunkanjima (Hashima Island)
📍 Nagasaki, Nagasaki
This was the main filming location for the live-action movie "Attack on Titan." The ruined coal mining island perfectly matches the desolate world depicted in the film. It is possible to visit the island on a landing tour.
Metropolitan Area Outer Underground Discharge Channel (Underground Temple)
📍 Kasukabe, Saitama
The pressure-regulating water tank, lined with 59 colossal pillars, each 18 meters tall and weighing 500 tons, is known as the "Underground Temple" and is reminiscent of the "Underground City" from Levi's childhood. Guided tours are popular.
