俺だけレベルアップな件
Weakest hunter Sung Jinwoo awakens to become the strongest. Based on a Korean web novel.
Synopsis
"Solo Leveling" is a 2024 TV anime produced by A-1 Pictures, based on the original work by Chugong. Set in a modern world where mysterious "gates" leading to other dimensions suddenly appear, it follows "hunters" who battle the monsters lurking within dungeons. The protagonist, long derided as the weakest hunter, gains a singular power that allows only him to level up after a fateful event. Through countless trials, he grows ever stronger in this action-packed tale of extraordinary abilities.
Why visit the real-life locations
This is a supernatural action work set in a modern city where "gates" appear, with Tokyo imagined as the backdrop of the Japanese anime version. The crowds of the Shibuya Scramble Crossing and Shinjuku Station West Exit let you feel the atmosphere of the great metropolis where hunters live their daily lives. Landmarks such as the Tokyo Skytree and Tokyo Tower can be viewed as symbols of a city suddenly menaced by dungeon threats, layering the story's world over the real one. Walk Tokyo's actual scenery and imagine the tension of a tale where the extraordinary creeps ever closer.
