ラブライブ!サンシャイン!!
A story of 9 girls aiming to be school idols, set in Numazu, Shizuoka. The entire city is a pilgrimage destination.
Synopsis
Living in the seaside town of Uchiura in Numazu (Shizuoka), high-school second-year Chika Takami idolizes Tokyo's school idol group μ's. To save her alma mater Uranohoshi Girls' High from closing, she decides to become a school idol herself—forming "Aqours" with Riko Sakurauchi, You Watanabe, Kanan Matsuura and the rest, chasing a Love Live championship. From the Love Live! Project; the first anime season aired in 2016.
Why visit the real-life locations
The pilgrimage centers on Uchiura and the Mito area of Numazu, Shizuoka. The Awashima Hotel that became Aqours' home base, Awashima Shrine, the Numazu Port Byuo observation gate Yohane "lives" in, and the Yasudaya Ryokan that models Chika's family inn—it's all clustered along this seaside town. Around Numazu Station and the port you'll find official collab shops, Aqours manhole covers and wrapped buses; the whole city moves with the group.
